People

People

People is your church's directory: every member, visitor, and household in one place, with their attendance, giving, training, and involvement attached to their record.

Adding a person

Add a new person with their name, phone number, and status. Email, campus, and household are optional. Creating a new household name on a person's record creates that household at the same time.

FieldNotes
NameRequired.
PhoneRequired.
EmailOptional.
StatusActive, Inactive, or Visitor.
CampusOptional. Leave blank for a single-campus church.
HouseholdOptional. Entering a new name creates that household.

Status

Every person has one of three statuses: Active, Inactive, or Visitor. Status is searchable and filterable from the People list, and several other modules (Reports, Communication) use it to segment your congregation.

A person's profile

Opening a person's record shows a set of tabs alongside their details:

  • Overview. Their details, editable, with the option to remove the record entirely.
  • Giving. A read-only view of their giving history and total given.
  • Training. Their progress on your church's worker training track, if they're enrolled. See Training.
  • Groups. The groups they're part of, with the ability to add or remove them from a group directly.
  • Departments. The same, for departments.
A Notes tab is planned for tracking follow-ups and context on a person's record, but isn't available yet.

Finding someone

Search the directory by name, phone, or email, and narrow the list further by status or campus.

Who can see this

People is visible to staff whose role includes people access. Someone without that access simply sees an empty list rather than an error, so if a staff member says the directory looks empty, check their role under Users & Roles before assuming something's wrong.
